Takaba Hotel is a 12-room boutique property in Mandera County that reinterprets traditional Somali and Swahili architectural elements within a modern framework. The design incorporates arched openings, shaded outdoor spaces, and proportioned interiors that reference vernacular forms while adapting them to contemporary hospitality needs. Standard and Executive rooms are arranged to balance privacy and communal gathering, supported by a rooftop terrace and shared spaces that open to the surrounding landscape. Emphasis was placed on cultural identity, environmental responsiveness, and sustainability, resulting in a contextually grounded and enduring addition to the town.
